NBC and Versus Ink Long Term Deal for the Triple Crown Horse Races
NBC the Peacock Television Network will broadcast the Triple Crown in 2011 and beyond.

A deal was announced that will allow NBC to broadcast the Kentucky Derby, Preakness and Belmont Stakes through 2015. They retain exclusivity through 2015 with this new deal.

The deal also will allow Versus Network to broadcast some of the Triple Crown undercard races, such as the Black eyed Susan and other Preakness and Belmont Weekend horse races.

This is a great deal for Horse Racing fans, as we can be assured of excellent T.V. coverage for at least the next few seasons. NBC is known for their high quality racing coverage, including camera innovations and for using Hall of Fame racing personalities as on-air hosts.

We look forward to a fast and furious Triple Crown Season on Television this year and hopefully through 2015 and beyond.

The Kentucky Derby and Triple Crown can also be seen online through websites like twinspires.com, Churchill Downs Horse Racing Television Network.
